Seems to be good quality board, but I was not aware of the problems in connecting this type to a MAC before i bought them, so if you only have a MAC you should check this up and maybe but another type. I guess I need to fire up my old windows PC to get them programmed, or maybe "Parallels" will work? I don't know yet.

BG575344250 you might be able to connect the serial ports to an arduino and connect to it through the arduino, no?

BG104854946 I connected mine straight to my Mac. you need the ct340 drivers before it will recognize it over serial. After that you can program it like a regular arduino but you need the esp8266 library

BG104854946 read the back of the board. install the ch340 drivers and you should be able to connect to it over serial. it worked fine on my 2010 MacBook
